Emma’s dog

Meet Hope

Emma’s blind rescue lurcher, and the friendly face you’ll find all over this site.

Say hello to Hope

Hope’s story

Hope is Emma’s lurcher. She is blind, and she has been beside Emma through her autism journey.

In 2018 BBC News told their story, under the headline “Blind dog gave autistic woman ‘hope in life’”.

She is a very excited, very friendly dog. In May 2026 she won a Pretty Dog award at the John Eastwood Hospice dog show, while Emma helped out on the stall.

Hope finds her way around by sound and scent. That’s why, on this site, she turns her ears towards you, follows her nose to the next thing to read, and never needs to see you to know you’re there.

Follow her nose

Hope finds her way by sound and scent. This site is built so that everyone can find theirs, however they browse.
